 Guia is a typical village in the Algarve where they still hold a morning market selling fresh fruit and vegetables, bread, fish and other local produce.  Guia offers a local supermarket which is open daily, a butchers, banks and a couple of cafe bars for light refreshment.  The main reason people come into Guia is for its numerous fantastic restaurants which specialise in chicken Piri-Piri and many other typical dishes.

The Algarve Shopping centre is only a five minute drive away from Casa Palmiera.  It has plenty of retail shops, a large Continent  supermarket where you can buy almost eveything you need for your holiday, restaurants and even a cinema if you fancy a change.  There are a variety of shops including clothing, shoes, homeware, perfumeries and many more.
